Product description

The Lange RSJ 50 2026 is the perfect gateway to high-performance skiing for young enthusiasts. It provides the essential features of a "real" boot—like a junior-specific cuff and multi-buckle closure—in a soft-flexing, comfortable, and forgiving package. It's designed to help kids build a solid foundation of skills and, most importantly, to foster a lifelong love of skiing by keeping them comfortable and confident on the snow. It's the ideal choice for the young skier who is ready to move beyond basic gear and start exploring the mountain.

Features & Specs

Junior Shell Design

The entire shell is engineered for lighter-weight skiers.

The boot uses a mono-injection Polyolefin shell. This construction, combined with the material choice, creates a soft, smooth, and predictable flex. It’s easy for a small child to bend the boot, which is the most fundamental movement in skiing. An overly stiff boot will force them into the "backseat," creating bad habits. This design encourages a forward, athletic stance and makes turning feel natural and intuitive.

Junior-Specific Cuff

Like all good junior boots, the cuff is anatomically designed for children.

The cuff is significantly shorter than an adult's. This accommodates the lower, shorter calf muscles of a child, preventing pain and discomfort. More importantly, it allows for the correct range of motion so the child can stay balanced over the center of their skis.

Three-Buckle Design

This is a key differentiator from the more advanced RSJ 65.

The boot features three micro-adjustable aluminum buckles instead of four. This design provides a huge step up in support and foot-hold compared to one or two-buckle boots, but it remains simple and unintimidating for a child to use. It's the perfect balance of performance and user-friendliness for this ability level.

4. Junior Liner

The liner is built with a focus on warmth and comfort.

The liner is anatomically shaped for a child's foot and uses soft padding to provide a comfortable, secure fit. A warm and comfortable child is a happy child who will want to keep skiing. The liner ensures a snug fit to prevent the foot from moving around (which causes pain and loss of control) while keeping their toes warm.

5. Replaceable Soles

A practical feature that increases the safety and lifespan of the boot.

The plastic toe and heel pads on the bottom of the boot can be unscrewed and replaced when they wear down. Walking on hard surfaces wears down boot soles. Worn soles can compromise the boot-to-binding connection, making it unsafe. Replaceable soles ensure the boot remains safe to use for its entire lifespan, even if passed down to a younger sibling.
